India clinches T20I Title with a 5-0 clean sweep

Indian women’s team had lost two wickets for 17 runs in the fourth over. However, Indian women’s cricket team completed a 5-0 series whitewash over the West Indies.

The Indian women’s cricket team defeated the West Indies in a five-match T20I series by winning the fifth and last T20 match by 61 runs. Indian team registered a clean-sweep against West Indies team on November 21, 2019.

Veda Krishnamurthy, an Indian player, scored an unbeaten 57 runs and Jemima Rodriguez scored 50 runs. Both added 117 runs for the third wicket. The Indian women’s team batted first and scored 134 runs for three wickets.

• The Indian women’s team had lost two wickets for 17 runs in the fourth over. Shefali Verma was dismissed by nine and captain Smriti Mandhana scored seven runs.
• Rodriguez scored 50 off 56 balls while Krishnamurthy hit four boundaries in a 48-ball innings.
• The West Indies team could only manage 73 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs.
• Anuja Patil took two wickets for three runs while Radha Yadav, Poonam Yadav, Pooja Vastrakar and Harleen Deol got one wicket each for team India.
